The client is a global financial technology company headquartered in England. They provide a comprehensive portfolio of solutions for retail banking, transaction services, lending, treasury, and capital markets, serving banks and financial institutions worldwide.

Project Context

The client was running a self-hosted Elasticsearch cluster with version 7.17.10 and had enabled uni-directional cross-cluster replication (CCR) between primary and DR clusters. They required a version upgrade during a scheduled downtime window with minimal impact to integrated systems.
