How SquareShift delivered it.
Project context
The client wanted to leave Swiftype, remove its constraints and costs, and unify search. SquareShift scoped hybrid ingestion for web pages and Contentstack, plus better relevance and five-language search.
Project objectives
Unify search across five-plus web domains.
Beat Swiftype on relevance and speed, and search in five languages.
Solution delivery
SquareShift planned scheduled crawling of five domains with Elastic Open Web Crawler, plus a Python script for Contentstack.
It designed index templates, field mappings and ingest pipelines for transformation, and planned relevance tuning with synonyms, weights and query rules for ranking.
It planned autocomplete and search APIs, plus help with frontend integration, and tests for integrity, accuracy and latency, benchmarked against Swiftype.
The outcome
The blueprint covers one search experience across five-plus web domains and five languages. It maps 10 Swiftype features to Elasticsearch.
Beat the old platform on relevance and speed, with tests for integrity, accuracy and latency.
